Companies Don’t Manage Utilities Strategically
Companies are not thinking about utilities strategically. There is often no plan, more a series on interlinking decisions which are all reactionary. In our experience this is a result of silo thinking but also the fact that in most organisations you have Managers making these decisions in separate departments, who rarely cross paths.
The Havard Business Review recently published an article stating companies are throwing away 30% of their energy spend as a result. In our experience, this is a good estimate. For Simply Sustainable, we like to support our clients in thinking holistically about their utilities and wider sustainability strategy and ensure they are pointing towards the companies business strategy.
